Sunset

We took these pictures the day after Christmas at the Lamberth's. The sunset was just so beautiful we had to catch it on camera!

Nolen, Libby, and I are glad to be back home in Auburn. It was great being with family and friends, but we were ready to get back to our home in Auburn! Nolen and I are headed to Tampa on Wednesday for the Auburn bowl game and New Years! We are excited about getting away for a few days childless. Libby is so excited about staying with her Sasa and Bessie!

Willow Point Bowl 2009

                                         The cheerleader!

Every year on Christmas Eve morning all of the Willow Point kids get together for a football game in front of the Russell Lands office. It has become a real fun event! I think this is the 3rd year we have done it. Roger always has a tent set up with food and everything! We even play the "National Anthem". Katherine Barnes plays her old trumpet from like ten years ago... It is so funny!! It's always a great time!

Christmas 2009!

She sat like this forever playing...

Anderson and Allene gave her an Auburn tu-tu and shirt! She loves it!

                                  Working hard...
Libby getting tickled by her Daddy!
                                    Whooo and Libby

Walking into Sasa and Whoo's house
Waiting to see what Santa brought!

                                    Libby loves Larry!
                                         Libby in her princess tent
Libby ate breakfast with her umbrella...

Whew! We survived Christmas 2009! It was so much fun being with both families, and Libby really started to understand the whole Santa thing, but mostly she started to understand that it was Jesus' birthday. We spent the night at the Lamberth's house on Christmas Eve. We got up about 7:30 or so, then opened all of our Santa gifts! Libby was so excited about all of her gifts! She immediately notice Larry the cucumber from Veggie Tales. She got a princess tent, Little People castle, Little Tikes camera, clothes, movies, books, paino, and much more that I can't think of right now! Nolen and I got some pretty good stuff too! :) After we did Santa with the Lamberth's we headed over to my parent's house to do Santa. We are so thankful that we can drive 2 minutes to get to our parent's house! We are really spoiled! When Libby walked in my parent's house she went straight to the Little People carnival. She LOVED it! She also got a new doll, clothes, boots (which are the cutest thing EVer!), two Barbies, dress up clothes, books, movies, and much more fun stuff! Anderson got the coolest flying helicopter, and Libby loved watching it fly around! See pictures above of how excited Libby was! As you can tell Santa did good a good job at the Lamberth/Neighbors house holds! Oh, and I can't forget about Strawberry Shortcake! Aunt Jan gave her the Strawberry Shortcake cafe and car! She LOVES it! It was so cute last night she played with it for at least an hour! She could hardly go to sleep she was so into it. She wanted to sleep with it, but we decided it would best if the house and car weren't in the bed while we slept. So, we agreed to put it right next to the bed. When she woke up this morning the first thing she did was scoot off the bed and get the cafe.

We are so blessed and thankful to have 2 wonderful families to spend Christmas with! I can't wait till next year! It will be even more fun for Libby!! I just can't believe she will be 3 1/2 this time next year!!

P.S.- Sorry all the pictures above are mixed up.

Christmas happenings...

Today, I'm leaving Auburn to head to Birmingham to start off our Christmas. Nolen and Libby went to the lake yesterday, and I had some fun girl time with my friends Rachel, Amelia, and Riley Frances last night. We had so much fun hanging out and laughing together. It was so refreshing just hanging out with them. They are some of my best friends, and I don't get to see them as often as I would like! So, we enjoy the time we have together!

We have a lot going on these next few days, and I'm so excited about all the traditions coming up! First, we are headed to Birmingham to see all of our Birmingham family. Ann is so nice to open her house to us for dinner tonight! After that we are heading to the lake for the annual family Christmas party at Russell Lands. It's a big deal...Santa comes in on the helicopter! I'm sure that Libby will stay far away from Santa. Then Wednesday night we have or annual bonfire at Nolen's aunt Nan's house. It is so much fun! All of Nolen's family, my family, and a ton of friends are there. On Thursday we have the Willow Point bowl. All the kids in Willow Point get together and play football in front of the Russell Lands office. Even though I don't play it's still fun to watch everyone else play! Then, Thursday night we go to church with my family, and then go to the Holliday's after party at there house. I love this tradition. We have been doing it since I can remember, and when the Holliday's moved back from Atlanta they started it up again.I'm so glad they did because I love being with my best friends! Then Christmas we will have lunch with my family and dinner with Nolen's family. We are so lucky that out parents live so close! I can't wait for all the parties these next few days. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful families and friends to be with during Christmas. This is definitely my favorite time of the year!

A Silly Hat and Pink Nails!

Here are some pictures that were taken about a month ago when I painted Libby's finger nails for the first time! She LOVED it! She was so girly about it...It was so cute! She felt very special because she watches me paint my nails, and always wants hers painted. So, I thought why not!?

The pictures above the nail pictures were taken about a month ago too. She loves this song on Barney called "Silly Hat." She runs around the house singing the song. So, she thought that she would pretend play with a bucket as her "hat". I have three colored buckets that I put toys in that she used. She of course picked the green one (her favorite color)! She always makes Nolen and I wear a "hat". We all end up having buckets on our heads while she sings the song. I think it's pretty funny. If someone walked in our front door and saw us they would think we are a crazy family!!

Libby's Christmas Party!

                                               The melt down begins....
She is happy that the "Happy Birthday" song is over!

Yesterday was Libby's last day of school for Christmas break. Her sweet teachers had a Christmas party for her and her sweet friends! They had cookies, carrots, cheese, and grapes for their Christmas lunch. I was so hoping that Libby wouldn't cry like she did at the Thanksgiving Feast. Well, she started out good, then the teachers said that we needed to sing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus! Oh no, Libby does NOT like it when people sing happy birthday. I knew it was coming...She started crying and yelling, "NO,NO,NO STOP!" I told her that was not nice and she needed to stop crying now! She of course keeps crying all through the song. I just don't get it..... I hope she grows out of this real fast!

I didn't get that many good pictures of Libby and her friends as I wanted. My camera was just not cooperating!

Also, Today is our 3rd anniversary!! I can't believe it has been 3 years! We are going to enjoy a nice quiet dinner just the two of us! I LOVE YOU, Nolen!!

Bad day...

I guess I should say bad night... My bad night started while I was trying to go pick up our dinner at Panera Bread. So, I'm getting out of the car and I swing my purse around to put on my shoulder. Not too complicated, right? As I'm doing that my engagement ring flies off my finger!!!! AHH!! It hit the car beside me, then hit my tire. I couldn't see exactly where it went b/c it was so dark and rainy outside. Okay, at this point I am almost in tears! I have no one to help me, Libby is asleep in the car so I can't run in Panera for someone to come help. I'm on my knees in the rain with my cell phone trying to shine light on the ground. No luck! So I'm calling everyone in my phone book that is in Auburn. I call Nolen- no answer, Kaleigh-no answer,Paige-she's is AC, and then I call Hamp-he answered and said he would come! So I'm feeling better now that I found someone to come help me. As I'm getting off the phone I see our friend Ryan getting out of this car across from me. So, Ryan came over and I told him what happened. I'm sure he was wondering why I was in the rain on my knees! HA! Then he has the best idea to drive his car right behind mine to shine light under the car. Still NO luck!! At this point I don't even care that I am soaking wet! I was willing to stay there all night until I found it. After searching for about 5 minutes, I look down and my ring is right below my foot!! I started screaming and jumping up and down. I couldn't believe I found it!  What a great feeling!! I just still can't believe that happened to me! Talk about bad timing for me to loose my ring while it's dark outside and raining! I'm so thankful that Ryan was there to help me! And of course this wasn't the end to my bad night. I get home and spill yogurt all over me, Libby, and the couch... The TV, internet, and phones are not working, and I drop my camera(thank goodness in survived). So, I just decided it was time for me to go to bed and start over tomorrow. So far, so good today! I hope nothing happens today like it did yesterday! :)

I'm D.O.N.E....DONE!

Today was my last day of exams for the semester!! I cannot express how relieved/excited I am about this semester finally being over! I think it's safe to say this was one of my toughest semesters, and I'm sure it's only going to get harder the further I get into my major classes. I'm not going to think about that right now though. I'm going to enjoy my month off! I don't go back until January 11th. It seems so far away right now, but I'm sure it is going to fly by as usual. Also, Nolen will finish on Tuesday, and he is very ready to get all of his exams out of the way! We were talking a few days ago about how this is his last Christmas break EVER! Weird to think, huh? I'm sure he won't realize how much he likes Christmas break until next Christmas when he won't get 3 weeks off! I just can't believe he only has ONE more semester of school left. I know this sounds cliche, but time really has flown by! It feels just like yesterday we were moving to Auburn for our long journey through school with a baby girl. I can't express how proud I am of him! He has worked so hard, and I think it will show come May when he gets that diploma!

Purple floor...

Ok, So you are wondering why I have a purple floor. Well, on Monday night Miss Libby Lamberth thought she would pick up my purple nail polish and drop it on the floor. This was partly my fault b/c I left my nail polish too close to the end of the table. Well, she dropped it and I turned around... and almost lost it. I put her in time-out and gave her a spanking, BUT that didn't seem to work b/c she laughed at me the WHOLE time!!! What is it with me and punishment that makes her want to laugh?! When Nolen punishes her she obeys (most of the time), and of course Nolen wasn't at home when this happened. Anyway, I have pictures to document this great memory. I figured I would wait to blog about it a few days later, so I wouldn't be in fumes blogging about it. Now we can laugh about it b/c it's all cleaned up and the smell is gone. Thank goodness!!

Also, Libby is sitting in my lap while I'm typing all of this. She just said, " Uh Oh spaghettios!" and she said, " I Sawee Mommy!" It took her a few days...

This is a picture of the floor after lots of scrubbing and scratching...

Purple shoes... They look A LOT better now!
Does she look proud at what she just did?

Great Pictures!

Over Thanksgiving Nolen's cousin Rob took some pictures of the 3 of us. I thought they turned out great!! Here are a few of the pictures that he took at the Lamberth's. I just love the ones of Libby and Nolen. There is nothing more sweet than a Daddy and his little girl!!

Check out Rob's website, he is a great photographer! http://www.robingramphoto.com

Gingerbread House

Today Libby and I put together a Gingerbread house! Gran gave us a gingerbread kit a few weeks ago, and Libby has been patiently waiting to put it together. I did the icing part, and Libby put all the candy on it. And boy did she do her part well! She piled on the candy (and she snuck a few in her mouth). Libby was so proud after we finished!

On another note... You all know how much Libby LOVES Strawberry  Shortcake. Well, she loves her so much that she woke up from her nap yesterday crying for "Straw Cake"... NOT me or Nolen. Strawberry Shortcake. And she made it VERY clear that neither one of us could comfort her or make her happy. ONLY Strawberry Shortcake could... I must say my feelings were kind of hurt.
