Two and a half years!

Today my baby girl is 2 and a half! I can't believe it! Time sure does fly by! This means that only 6 more months until she is 3!! Thinking about her turning 3 makes me so sad... This means that she isn't our "baby" anymore! She's officially a big girl when she turns 3! Although, sometimes I just want the terrible 2's to go away... I'm hoping these next 6 months go by fairly slow. Nolen and I are always telling Libby that we wish she would stay our baby girl forever! Except, we would like her to be potty trained, and not argue with us! :)

What we've been up to!

Sorry about the lack of posting this week... Between school and a 2 year old  sometimes there isn't much time for blogging, but I promise to be better about posting during the week and adding pictures-- Instead of just summarizing what we've been up to in one post.

Starting with our week... It was pretty good. Just a lot of school work, and studying. I had homework almost every night of the week, and Nolen had 2 test during the week, on Tuesday and Thursday. So, It was a pretty busy week with school. On Thursday night, Nolen, Libby, and I went to dinner with our friends Ben and Kayla. We had a lot of fun visiting with them. On Friday morning my mom came down to help me get somethings done around the house. She knows that it's not that easy to get everything done with a 2 year old running around, so she tries to come down some to help out. I love it when she comes down! Something about cleaning with your mom is just a little more fun than doing it by yourself. After a full morning of cleaning we all went to McAlister's for lunch! When we came home I was hoping Libby would take a nap, but that didn't happen. Libby doesn't want to miss out on anything when her grandparents are here! After my mom left we met Blakely and Tucker at Frog Legs in Opelika! Frog Legs is a inflatable play center with lots of fun jumping toys! At first, Libby wasn't so sure about the whole jumping thing... But she finally figured out that it was fun! Libby and Tucker had so much fun playing together! They're so cute together! When we got home Libby was SO tired! We were planning on going to the block party in downtown Auburn, but it was just too much for Libby. I didn't feel like being in public with a 2 year old that has had no nap. A meltdown would just be waiting to happen! So we just stayed in and had a relaxing night.  On Saturday we went to the Colley's farm with Libby's Sunday school class. The Colley's were so nice to have us all to their home. Dr. Colley is a vet in Auburn, so they have lost of animals at their house. Libby's favorite were the chickens and the ponies!  Saturday afternoon I ran some errands while Libby and Nolen napped at home. We decided that we didn't want to go to the AU game b/c it had been raining, and it was a 100% chance of rain during the game. So, the three of us decided to go downtown and try to sell all 8 tickets that we had, b/c our power went out for a good 30 mins., and they said it wouldn't be back on for another 2 hours.. Anyway, NO LUCK with selling the tickets! Everyone it seemed like had the same idea as us, and no one was buying! So, we headed back home hoping that our power was back on, and IT WAS! We had a good time just hanging out at our house. Sunday we went to church, Sunday school, then went to our friend Laura's birthday party! It was a lot of fun, and Libby loved seeing Laura! Although, Libby did start screeming and crying when we all sang happy birthday to Laura! I don't know what it is about singing happy birthday, but she cries everytime! I don't know if it's the candles or the singing, but whatever it is Libby does NOT like it!

Sorry for writing such a long post... I won't usually write this much, but I had a lot of catching up to do! I hope I didn't bore anyone! I am mainly writing all of this with so much detail, b/c I'm using this as a way of remembering all of the things that are happening in our lives!

Weekend Recap

This past weekend was a pretty low-key weekend, but a good one. Friday I did a lot of organizing around the house... Made me feel so good after it was done! I still have a ways to go. My goal this week is to do a deep cleaning of L's playroom, and go through all of her toys and put up the ones that she doesn't play with anymore. It has been needing a good clean for awhile. I just keep putting it off... no surprise here! Saturday morning I met my parents in Dadeville to give Libby to them. She was SO excited about spending the night with "SaSa" and "Whooo."Nolen's brother, Thomas came in from Birmingham, and is Dad came from Alex City for the game. We stayed at our house most of the day, and watched football because of the weather.  When we got to the game I thought maybe the weather wouldn't be so bad. Umm... boy was I wrong. We went to get something to drink right before the rain started, and got stuck in a mob of  people for like 45 minutes! I was about to go crazy. I get really nervous in big crowds of people. After that it was all fun! Auburn won so everyone was happy! :) Sunday we slept in, and then went to Sunday school, Moe's for lunch with friends, and then I met my mom with Libby late Sunday afternoon. Boy was I missing that sweet little girl! :)

Libby already for her first day of school!

First day of pre-school!

Libby had her first day of 2-year-old pre-school last Thursday at AUMC! She was so excited about starting school with  new teachers, new classroom, and new and old friends! Her teachers are so sweet, and Libby loves going to school! Sometimes she forgets to tell me bye! (Atleast she's not crying when I leave)! She goes every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30-11:30...Just enough time for me to go to class. I'm so glad that she loves going to school.. because she kind of has to in order for us to go to class. They do lots of fun things, and she's already learning a lot so far! My favorite part is picking her up from school.. Right when I walk in the classroom she comes running towards me yelling in her sweet voice 'MOOOMMMMMYY!!!!" It's the BEST feeling in the world! :)
