Week at the Beach

We spent this past week/weekend at Blue Mountain beach with the Lamberth's. Our initial plan was to go down Wednesday thru Sunday, but we made a last minute decision to go a day earlier and surprise every one that was already down there. This vaca couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I needed to be recharged. We were so lucky to have spring like weather during our visit. The water was really cold though. {That didn't stop Libby!} It's kind of hard to recap everything we did so here are some highlights of our trip...

This is where we stayed for the week.

We laid out on the beach...

played on the beach...

then Libby accidentally went under the water... She was having so much fun and she was getting close to a little drop off... then a big wave came and knocked her down. She wasn't happy about it.

Thomas and Hank were crazy and got in the water...

saw pretty sunsets at night...

played the princess matching game...

walked around Seaside... and got some gelato at Heavenly...

watched cartoons on Bessie and Papa's bed...

we had a date night in Seaside at The Great Southern... {taken with my phone}

and just enjoyed being together as a family...

We had a great week at the beach with the Lamberths. Can't wait to do it again!

Now back to the real world of house cleaning and school.

L.I.B.B.Y

Libby has been working on writing her name this month. She has gotten pretty good at it, but often needs some help.

She definitely knows how to spell her name. Sometimes she gets a little excited about it and says, "L.I.BBBB.Y!!" That spells LIBBY!"I'm sure she will master this skill soon enough.

She's growing up too fast for me. It feels real that she's a big girl now that she's learning how to write.

And I've been light on the blogging lately, because I had to send my camera in to get fixed. :-( I was so sad! Something in the lens came unplugged they think, and there was nothing I could do to fix it, but send it off. Hoping I get it back sooner rather than later. I fill lost without it, and blogging isn't near has fun without my good camera. And I'm supposed to be going to a camera 101 session with a photographer in town. I REALLY hope it's back in time for that!

Have a nice day!

Toomer's

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning I walk through the Toomer's Corner trees on my way to class. This Thursday was a little different.

The trees were rolled in toilet paper and many people came out to show there respect to the trees...

It might seem a little silly, but it's a big deal to Auburn. It's been a huge tradition for Auburn for along time. The trees are around 130 years old. {I think!}

And the man who poisoned the trees. I mean I'm speechless. What an IDIOT for doing this AND going and telling on himself. Definition of crazy!

I am so sad about what has happened with the trees. It's so sad that the rivalry has gone this far {for that man!}.

WAR EAGLE!

Recycled Cards for St. Jude's Ranch for Children

My friend Blakely told me about a way to get rid of Christmas cards by sending them to St. Jude's Ranch for Children. I always hate throwing away cards, but I hate having the clutter around the house. I couldn't think of a better way to get rid of them and not feeling bad about it.

Just simply cut the tops off the cards - * Make sure the back doesn't have writing on it.* Then send them to St. Jude's Ranch for Children:

* They are taking ALL occasion cards.*
 * They don't take Hallmark, American Greeting and Disney cards.*

Hope this helps!

Happy Hump Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone has enjoyed this beautiful Valentine's Day like we have. Libby had her Valentine's party at school, and she came home with a lot of goodies! She took her friends some candy and heart shaped crayons that we made.

Then we enjoyed the afternoon at the park. In our pretty Valentine's dress. :-)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh and we're pretty pumped about the weather forecast this week...

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Last night Nolen took Libby to the 22nd Annual Daddy/Daughter Dance. This is a huge deal in Auburn for all the little girls. Like you buy your tickets in December, and they sell out fast!I remember going to the Daddy/Daughter dance when I was about 6 or 7, and it being so exciting! Nolen said it was packed with girls 3-12 (pretty big age range! ha!).

Libby was beyond excited! She loved getting all dressed up. She even got to wear some of my blush and lip gloss. At least she thought she was wearing the blush. :-)

Sasa and Who came to Auburn. All 5 of us went to see the Kings Speech (which I totally recommend!) before we went to dinner. Yes, Libby went too, and she was GREAT!

We went to eat at Hamilton's, then Libby and Nolen were off to the dance. Libby loved her wristlet crosage her Daddy gave her.

The rest of these pictures Nolen took at the dance...

I guess Libby's pretty bow fell out when they got there.

These pictures are so cute and funny!

All danced and candied out!!

I think they both agree this will be an annual thing for them. They had so much fun! Libby is one lucky girl!
