Embrace the Camera

Happy Thursday and last day of June! I can't believe tomorrow is JULY! This summer is going by WAAAY too fast for my liking! I hope July goes by really slow.

Here are some pictures of me and Nolen "embracing the camera" with the Libster.

Nolen made the comment that he was never on my blog, so here he is.... goggles and all! :-)

Me and the Libster...

Linking up with The Anderson Crew today.

Happy 4th!!!!

Tangled Party

Libby went to the CUTEST birthday party a few Fridays ago. It was at  Rapunzel's castle A.K.A SpringHouse at the lake. Which is beautiful! Which was the most EXCITING thing to Miss Lib. She has been patiently waiting for the Repunzel party since we got the invitation in the mail. I knew it was going to be so cute, so I was excited to go too!

When we got there they had carriage rides...

Stacy made the cutest long braides for the girls... Libby was in HEAVEN!!!!

And Rapunzel was there!! She told the story of "Tangled" to all the kids. Libby LOVED it!!

It was really hot that day, hence why Libby is red and sweaty. Bless her.

Singing "happy birthday" to the birthday girls, Katherine Graham and Ava.

After lunch they played music and danced.

At one point Rapunzel had picked up Libby and was dancing with her. I missed it though! Sad.

The "tower". Notice the long hair coming out of the top of the tower! So cute!

Libby had so much fun!! I have a feeling she'll be talking about this party for a long time!

Our week... Through an iPhone

Thanks to my Dad's upgrade, I got an iPhone about 2 weeks ago.{Thanks Dad!} I LOVE IT! My favorite thing about it, is that it takes really good pictures. I haven't picked up my Canon in a few days because I've been snapping pictures on my phone. It's just so convenient.

Soooo... Here is a pile of RANDOM pictures from my camera roll.

My night time reads

Riding in her Barbie Jeep

Chalk art

Summer Supper. BBQ chicken and corn. YUM!

Playing with Cousin Lindsey. She came to visit this week! Promise she had fun! Just caught her at a not smiling moment!

WORST pancakes I've ever made. But I liked the picture!

While Lindsey was in Auburn we went to the water park!

Swimming at the WP pool.

Storm rolling in...

We had a busy week! Shopping in BHAM, spending a whole day at the water park and a whole day at the lake will ware you out. Now we're headed to the zoo with some friends for the day. Thank goodness for relaxing rainy weekends!

Children's Artwork

I love children's artwork!

Especially Libby's. I'm a little biased though. :-)

I was reading Small Notebook and came across a post about how to keep and store children's art work. I've been wanting to get all of her artwork that she brings home from school organized and in a safe place.

I went to Target and got a big scrapbook binder with page protectors. It was around $12.

Then I put all of Libby's artwork from this year in the binder.

Such an easy project to do. Now I can't wait to have a lot more books like this for Libby to look through when she gets older.

If you're like me and have put this off for a while, go get a big scrapbook. It will make you feel a lot better. {and things won't look as cluttered!}

A Celebrating Weekend

This weekend we had a lot to celebrate.

My parents 33rd anniversary was Friday. They are such a great example of a loving marriage! And don't they look great?!?

We all ate dinner at the Grille Friday night to celebrate!

Saturday we hung out on the dock, went on a boat ride and ate an amazing meal my dad cooked.

We also had story time...

Sunday we celebrated Father's Day and my Dad's birthday {the 21st}. My Dad is a great cook. He made country ribs. They were so good! My Mom made her amazing potato salad, and Gran made her amazing deviled eggs.

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Who...

It was a special weekend.

And a special shout out to the FATHER of my child. You are such an amazing FATHER! We love you more than you'll ever know! And of course to my father and FIL... I love you!

Feeding the Ducks and Toomer's

Last week we went to Town Creek Park to feed the ducks {and fish and turtles}. Libby loved it! She would have given them the whole loaf of bread if I hadn't stopped her. I'll admit it was pretty fun seeing them fight over the bread.

It was hot, so we only stayed for a little while.

Since it's so dang hot these days we went to Toomer's for some ice cream and lemonade!

Hands down, Toomer's has the best lemonade! So good!

And just a little reminder....

Tennis

Libby is taking tennis lesson this summer for the month of June. She goes every Tuesday for 30 minutes at YTC,  where the Auburn tennis team plays. One of the many great things about living in a college town. We have access to great facilities!

Libby was the most excited about her Dora racket. She is the youngest in her class {it's 4-6 years}, so she's not the best one. She is getting better though.

Making a tennis sandwich!

When we got home one day, Nolen was determined to practice with her. She was so over it! She had played hard all day, and she was ready to crash!

I can see a lot of practicing out in the yard in our future.

Swim Lessons

Libby just finished 10 days of swim lessons at AU! She has really improved from when she started 2 weeks ago. We've just got to practice more, and I know she'll have it down soon enough!

Day 2 of swim lessons waiting for her class.

This was one of her favorites and best.... Floating!

Kicking up the ramp...

Sweet friend Winsley was in her class!

Miss Lauren was so sweet and encouraging!

Libby is thinking, "Yayy!! I did it!"

Done with swim lessons! WOO HOO!!

As Libby's reward for finishing swim lessons, she got the movie Tangled. She has had her eye on this movie for awhile. I wanted her to earn it, so I told her if she did good at swim lessons we could get it on the last day. She was SO excited!!!

I am so proud of my girl!! She did great with having to go every morning. {I thought she might be over it after day 3.} Now we've just got to practice, practice, practice!
