Our Normal Day

I thought it would be fun to document a "normal" day right now {in this season of life} for Libby to look back on in the future. I would love the be able to look back on a day when I was four! {Sorry, this might bore some people!}

I took pictures throughout our day today {Wednesday, September 28th} that pretty much sum up our days together at home and at school.

Coffee + Bible. I'm doing a One year Bible reading plan. I try to read a little every morning. I definitely have room for improvement on this one. {along with other things!}
Dishes from last nights dinner. :)
Every morning Libby {and her Barbies} watches cartoons in my bed.

The start of my to do list.
Packing Libby's lunch... Which 99% of the time is a PB sandwich, yogurt, some sort of fruit, goldfish, etc.
In the carpool line at school. One of Libby's favorite things!
Walking to class.
Laundry...
Home from school! Rest time... popcorn+ a movie!
Making paper "cupcakes".
Quick trip to Earth Fare. Another favorite of Libby's b/c she gets to have her own cart!
Cooking dinner.
Bath time... with the princesses!
Bedtime reads.
Libby,

There is no one else I'd rather spend my days with. You are at such a fun age right now... I wish I could freeze time! I hope someday you will look back on our days together. I love you!!

First of the Season

We took Libby to her first Auburn game of the season this past Saturday. She was pretty pumped about the whole thing!

Side Note: It's kind of funny, if you had asked me a few years ago when we would take Libby to her first Auburn game, I would have {easily} said 4-5 years old. I obviously gave in and this has been her 3rd game. She's been to one game every year since she was two. Funny how things change!

Anyway, when we got to campus we went straight to J & M to get Libby's face painted. She knew exactly what she wanted... a big AU on her check! She was so proud of it!

We had an early dinner at Little Italy.

Then we walked around and took some pictures.

The 3 of us in front of the AU sign.
Libby and her Mama in front of Samford Hall.
Libby and her Daddy.
We had such a fun day! Thankfully we made it until half-time, thanks to the dancers/cheerleaders, Barbies and a friend that Libby made during the game. Can't wait to take her back again!

Summer To Do List {Finished} & More

Well.... We have come pretty close to completing our Summer to do list that we made at the beginning of the summer. I posted most of the things that we did, but I didn't have pictures of some things.

The only thing we didn't check off was flying a kite. We have been waiting for a windy day, and it just hasn't happened yet. We should have done it at the beach! Oh well, we will move it over to our NEW Fall bucket list!

Yes, we made a Fall bucket list, and we are so excited about it. I saw a Fall bucket list on Pinterest and decided to make our own version! {My intention was to just do a summer list, but why not do a Fall one also??}

I made a tab at the top of the page of the list we came up with. Now everyone can follow us! I'm hoping to do my best in documenting everything in pictures!

Have a great week!

The Weekend

We were actually home this weekend! There truly is nothing like a weekend at home with my family. It's just nice spending time together making memories.

We grilled out.

Read some.

Played outside a lot.

Hit some golf balls. {Nolen talked us in to going to the golf course with him!} It was pretty comical.

I think I actually hit that ball! I need to work on my form though.

And of course we watched football. War Eagle, anyway!

Hope you're weekend was GRAND!

Favorite Things

Here are a few of my favorite things right now...

#1- This painting that my grandmother painted for me a few months ago. I love it! It's a picture from Nolen's graduation. She is super talented. If you look at all the artwork in my house she has done 99% of it. Pretty special!

#2- Mrs. Meyer's basil cleaner. Enough said. It smells so good! I find my self cleaning my countertops when they don't really need cleaning. It smells that good! I don't think I can buy any another cleaner now.

#3- The new Missoni for Target line. I went to Target the day it came out, thinking of getting myself something, but actually came out with nothing for me and some flats for Libby! I guess that's what having a child makes you do. Are they not so stinkin' cute though!!?? She wore them to school this week, and her teachers thought they were pretty cute. I went back to look at clothes for me yesterday and it was completely sold out. Dang!

#4- Fresh chalk. We were running low on chalk, so I made a run to Wal-Mart {BTW, I don't like that place... every time I walk in there I feel light headed and nauseous. I blacked out one time...  seriously though, I did!} Anyway.... Fresh chalk is so much better than old, wet chalk. We play with it almost every day.

Happy weekend!!

P.S.- Tomorrow marks my blogs 2nd birthday. Can't believe it's been 2 years! Thanks for reading!

The Beach and 91 Years

Every September we go to Pensacola for my grandmothers birthday. This year we decided to go to the beach for a few days before we celebrated Mimi's birthday. We try to go every year, but last year just didn't work out, so we were excited to get to the beach! We made the drive down to the beach Friday afternoon after school. I picked up Libby a little early from school, and her teacher said she had been talking about it all morning!

She couldn't wait.

We got there just in time for a little sun light, then we enjoyed the beautiful sunset.

The weather was perfect all weekend! No 100 degree weather!

Saturday Katherine and her girls, McColl and Lucy came down for the day. Libby could not wait to see McColl {and Lucy}! They had a blast together!

I got so many good pictures of the girls! The 2 big girls with Lucy {aka LuLu}.

They are both really into princesses, so they loved putting the princess puzzle together. Ann was there too!

They danced and showed us ballet moves while the men were trying to watch football. The men are definitely out numbered in this family!

We went back out on the beach and built a lot of sand castles!

Precious picture of sweet McColl.

They loved running on the beach. They laughed and laughed. It was so cute!

The 3 of us on the beach.

On Sunday we packed up and headed to Pensacola for Mimi's birthday lunch! Libby was so excited about seeing her.

After lunch we sang Happy birthday and ate some cake!

Mimi with her 2 great- granddaughters {Lulu had to go home for a nap.} She will have a 4th great-grandchildren in November. We just don't know if PeeWee will be another girl or a boy!

Happy 91st Mimi!!! Can't wait to be together again!

Summer Reading

When summer starts I always make a list of things I want to do. {Not this same list.} On my list this summer was to read 4 books. And I'm happy to report I am almost there!

I read Same Kind of Different as Me, Heaven is For Real, Redeeming Love and One Thousand Gifts

Well, I'm about half way done with One Thousand Gifts. {Like I said... almost!}

All of them were so GOOD! {And easy reads... except Redeeming Love- took me almost 2 months to finish!} I recommend reading them, they are those books that will inspire you and change you.

Happy reading!

Hellloo!

Anybody there?!?

Sorry for being MIA for the past two weeks. Life is kicking me in the rear.

It usually doesn't take me this long to get back into the swing of things. I guess summer was just too good to me.

****************
I picked up my camera for the first time this weekend. I sure have missed it!

Nolen and I got to go to the extremely hot Auburn football game. Pretty scary and exciting game!

We went to the lake for Labor day. We did everything BUT laboring! It was so nice.

Libby assisted Bessie in making homemade ice cream!
Libby and Sasa putting together a Dora puzzle.

We even got out for a little bit and went to the pool. It was pretty chilly!

We got to hang out with cute cousin Henry too. Libby LOVES him! I love how he's look at Libby.
Stolen from MB facebook.
It was just what I needed, a very lazy rainy weekend!

Here's to hoping I'll get adjusted to my new normal sooner rather than later! And getting back to blogging!
