A Surprise Package

About 2 weeks ago Libby got something special in the mail. She was so excited to open the door and find a big package just for her!

"What IS IT!!??"

A haunted house kit!! She was so excited. After she got home from school we started the building process...

I'm usually not very good at these type of things, but I was doing pretty good. Then.... I was about to put the last part of the roof on the top and it crashed!  I tried to repair it, but it just wasn't working. So, we just ended up decorating it and eating some too! :) {sorry no pictures}

Thanks Gran for the special package! We enjoyed it! {literally}

Weekend Highlights

Friday afternoon we kicked off the weekend by going to the Auburn vs Kansas State equestrian meet. It was a lot of fun! {Even though I know nothing about equestrian meets. Auburn is actually the National Champs this year.} It's definitely a family friendly event. They had inflatables, coloring tables and horse rides. And it was FREE!

We met Tucker and Blakely there. {Thanks for the idea!}

Libby just so happened to already be prepared with her cowgirl boots!

Saturday we went to Henry's FIRST birthday party. It was such a cute party! Libby got a kick out of the party favor.

Sunday we carved our pumpkin that we got last week at the pumpkin patch.  maybe I should have considered some make up???  If you gather anything from this blog, it's that Halloween is a year around thing in our house.

This is Libby saying, "EWWWW!" to the pumpkin guts.

Definitely a mans job right there!

Here is the finished product...

Libby Cinderella loved our cute not scary pumpkin.

Time is going by way too quickly. How in the world is October almost over!!???

Tailgate

This past weekend we tailgated for the Auburn vs. Florida game. The weather was perfect for a day outside.

This was Henry's first tailgate! Can't believe he's almost ONE!

Libby met a cute friend... they had so much fun playing together!

Henry didn't want to miss out on the fun either!

It was a fun day, and even better since Auburn won!

Jack-O-Lantern Lane

We went to Jack-O-Lantern Lane today in good ole' Lafayette, Alabama.  We had never been before, but heard great things about it, so we decided today was the day! Even though it didn't feel like October. Libby was so excited!

She jumped in the inflatables for a little bit, then saw Thomas the train coming around the corner. She couldn't wait to ride on the train.

We took a hayride to the pumpkin fields to pick our pumpkin.

Libby loved the horses. They were really sweet!

We went and grinded??  some corn, and made our very on cornmeal. Libby thought it was the coolest thing ever!

We will definitely be making this an annual thing. We had the best time! I'd say it was a successful day... She was sound asleep within 5 minutes after we left.

{P.S.- Libby's really into pig tails right now- reason why it looks like she cut her hair} Hopefully she won't do that again!

It's Thursday

{real creative title, huh??}

We were so glad to wake up to sunny skies this morning! I feel like we've been living in Seattle all week.

Since I don't have much to blog about this week. I thought I would join in on the Embrace the Camera day fun, and take silly pictures with my girl.

I found this fun app on my phone the other day, Pocketbooth. It's really fun! Libby thought it was pretty hilarious!

Happy Thursday and Embrace the Camera day!!

Fruit Roll-Ups

I made some fruit roll-ups {really strawberry roll ups} last week. I got the recipe from Fly Through our Window. I was excited about having something good and healthy for Libby's lunch box!

Then.... I totally screwed up.  After they were in the oven for like 5 hours, I was cooking our dinner. Well, our dinner had to go in the oven for about 20 minutes on 375. I wasn't thinking and heated it to 375 with the fruit roll ups still in the oven. {sometimes I wonder if my brain just leaves my body.}

I burned it. I was so disappointed. {especially b/c it was so involved and took a lot of time.} I cut the edges off and the middle wasn't burnt. Thank goodness! I am definitely going to make these again. {They actually tasted like the real deal fruit roll-ups you buy at the grocery.} Pretty close at least!

We're counting it, and still going to check it off our fall bucket list!

Have a great weekend!

A Day at The Crossroads

We spent a lot of time at the crossroads this weekend. We had a wedding at SpringHouse on Saturday night, and we spent part of Sunday morning at the playground, and my parent's garden plot they have at SpringHouse.

Even Who went down the slide. Then we saw where it said AGES 2-10 years. I think we were all a little over that mark except for Libby!

Then we went to water my parent's garden plot at SpringHouse. They have turnip greens and radishes growing.

Libby loves to water plants. Maybe she will be a master gardener one day!?

Happy Monday!
