finish on the 50

I finished my race on the 50 yard line this weekend! No records were beat, but it was a fun race! Libby and Nolen came out to watch me finish. It was fun having them at the finish line! On our way home we stopped by the new statues. Of course they had to do the heisman pose! :-)

have a great week!!

countdown

we are 10 days away from leaving for DISNEY WORLD! We are really excited! I can't believe it's almost time--this month has flown by like crazy. We have a calendar that we have been using as a countdown until our trip.

I've been reading this series and this blog post about DW. Thank goodness for friends and random people who so generously share the 411 with us first timers. {First timers as in... first time parents taking kids to disney. Nolen and I have both been several times 10+ years ago!}

**************************************
We have had a busy week! The mornings are busy getting chores done, the gym, taking Libby to school, school for me, and errands. Our afternoons have been full of running more errands, birthday parties, play dates and trying to get things done at home.  I have a busy girl on my hands. She doesn't slow down. 10 minutes at the dinner table to eat dinner is hard for her. She wants to be outside all. the. time.

Here are some instagram pictures from this week.

Some things to note...

-I used this idea for teacher appreciation week at her school last week. Just print and add a $10 gift card.
-Libby survived her 5 year shots. There were tears, but she did so good! She is in the 90th percentile in height and 70th in weight. Tall girl!
-We are working on getting summer plans on the calendar. Only 3 more weeks of school until it's summer break!

Have a great weekend! I am running in this race this weekend. Should be a fun one!

he is risen

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating the Resurrection of our savior!

We baked our resurrection buns first thing Sunday morning. This has really helped Libby understand what the meaning of Easter is {except she got a little confused when i said Jesus was going to be the marshmellow :)} She is learning more and more each year that it's not about the Easter bunny coming {although the easter bunny came!}, but it's about Jesus' ultimate sacrifice he gave us. Eternal life.

Libby opened her Easter basket bright and early! She was outside in her pjs by 7:30 playing with some of her goodies. She was excited!

We went to church and had to stop by the yellow fountain for a photo op. thanks shealy!

After church we drove to the lake for Easter lunch with my family.

Poor child fell walking into church. She is all scratched up and bruised.

We went to Bessie and Papa's after lunch. Libby's new favorite thing at their house is BUBBLES!

Happy Easter!

two hunts

We had two Easter egg hunts this week! {we decided on two hunts this year... same thing we did last year!}  The first was at Town Creek park. It lasted all of about 1 minute to "hunt" for the eggs, but Lib had so much fun!

We saw our sweet friend, Campbell too!

The second hunt was at her friend Annabelle's house. It was so cute! Libby loved hunting for eggs with her sweet friends and jumping on the trampoline! :-)
excited about the hunt!
Libby and Kirkley
all the kiddos!
we've got resurrection buns prepared and ready to be baked in the morning, and a easter basket full of goodies waiting to be played with!
happy easter!! and good night!

easter eggs

We dyed Easter eggs last night! We got a really late start on this, but atleast we did it! :-)  Libby wanted to do it all by herself. And it was a rather clean process! yay.

We have one easter egg hunt down and 1 {maybe 2} to go!
*******************************
We are doing this today, or this one.
These are some great activities for kiddos.
We did this yesterday. {and i realized i didn't put a card in the eggs telling who it is from... i just found them in my purse! loosing. my. mind. so if you get a egg in the mail... it's probably from us!}

Have a great Easter weekend! HE IS RISEN!!
