book character day/halloween

Libby's school does "Book Character Day" on Halloween.

Love this idea! 

She knew exactly who she wanted to be… Madeline!
She watched the movie this summer and has loved it ever since!

I found a cute costume on Amazon that looked just like the Madeline from the movie. She couldn't wait to wear it.

And Sallie wore the pumpkin costume that Libby wore at her age.
So she was Madeline's pumpkin! :)

Before leaving for school…

School party... Halloween night we went to the back of our neighborhood to trick or treat with some friends. Our neighborhood gets CRAZY on Halloween. Like some people leave our neighborhood (that live there) because it's too crowded!

We were all exhausted after a fun sugar-filled day!

pumpkin patch

We went to Lazenby farms on Saturday before the AU game.

It was such a pretty day and the girls loved it!

We picked a pumpkin, rode on the hayride, played on the playground, rode ponies and we even

ran into the Comptons!

We will definitely be heading back next year! It was a fun day!

We needed to get out of the house, so we decided to head to Chewacla. 

It was a beautiful day!

We welcomed a new cousin/nephew into the family!

Libby got to love on him for a bit when we went for a visit.

60 years

We celebrated my Mom's BIG {6-0} birthday in Birmingham! 

We enjoyed a yummy lunch at Little Savannah, then headed to A and A's house for a bit

 before hitting the road back home.

labor day weekend

We headed to the lake for labor day on Sunday!

We walked around campus a few hours before the game, then Nolen went to the game.

The girls and I headed home to the nice AC!

the grand hotel

back in march or april, nolen won a trip to the grand hotel in point clear through a charity golf tournament.

{not to mention he came 3 inches from winning a Benz!} 

oh well, i'll take a trip to the grand any day!!

we left thursday and came back saturday. it was so fun and relaxing!
