We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks, and no lie I spent $4 at the movies. They have this kids special during the summer, where everything is a $1. Blakely and I thought that surely this just applied for the kids, and we would have to pay regular price, but we were wrong it's for everybody! Alex City's movie theater isn't even that cheap!
I couldn't get her to get a decent picture with Tucker. This is my best one. And of course we wouldn't go anywhere without the wand.
Gran and Pop came that afternoon to help me sew some curtains. We had to run some errands in this awful heat. Libby was a trooper and even helped push the cart.
Taken with my phone
After we sweated to death ran our errands we came back to our house and got to work. Libby and Pop played in the playroom...
And we did this...
I'm getting more and more comfortable with the sewing machine. We finished one curtain, but we didn't have time to do the other. We sewed the first one the wrong way so it took us longer than we thought. We had a good laugh about it though.
And a few weeks ago I started learning how to smock! This has been on my list of things to learn for a while. My Mom and grandmother smocked a lot of my dresses, so I want to continue the tradition for Libby.
It wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. It was actually really fun and I could find myself become addicted. I can't wait to get started on something for Lib.
Libby and I are going to Montgomery today to have lunch with Nolen. Libby is so excited! First thing she said when she woke up this morning was, "We going to eat lunch in Gomery?"
Happy Friday!
