Anyway... I got my itch back to sew some things for Libby recently. {The reason I learned to sew.} I started REAL simple and "appliqued" one of her white t-shirts.
It turned out OK.
The "L" isn't straight {should have used pins} and the sewing is FAR from perfect. It's a start though!
Here is my attempt at showing you how I "appliqued" this shirt...
Supplies you will need:
White t-shirt- Target
Scissors
Fabric- Hobby Lobby
Heat and Bond- Hobby Lobby
Cut your fabric to the shape you want it, then trace it onto the Heat and Bond. After tracing, cut the Heat and Bond to the shape of the fabric.
Iron the "applique" on the shirt for a few seconds.
Then sew it on the shirt!
The very, very rough finished product...
I think she likes it.
And P.S.- Don't look too closely if you see her in this shirt. :-)
Addie, I think it looks adorable. We had a lot of fun with you guys the other night. Hopefully, we can have a pool date this week, weather permitting:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Addie!
