life lately

We've moved!


{same town, new house}

We are loving our new neighborhood! Having a yard and more space has been so nice. AND having sweet neighbors that bring you dinner is pretty nice too!

In other news...

***I am 32 weeks +1 day preggo. Only 8 more weeks!!! Went to the doctor this AM... everything checked out good, and the baby is right on schedule!

***I don't have anything ready for this sweet boy/girl child inside of me. {except for the "going home" gown and the crib that is still in the box.} I've got a few things ordered though. I know it will all come together soon!

***I have a very busy 5-year-old that is growing up before my eyes. She is SO excited about being a big sister!!

Life has been so crazy the last few months. A good crazy though! 

We feel so BLESSED and so THANKFUL for this crazy season of life! I wouldn't want it any other way!

Good morning!!! I am taking a second to update this blog before I get SO behind. Life is FULL! The good kind of full though :) We are all happy and healthy over here, so life is good!

Libby finished her first semester at ASK community bible study last Monday. They learned the 10 commandments throughout the semester. It was such a great afternoon activity for Libby. She LOVED it! Especially since she got to do it with a lot of sweet friends!

Here are a few of the Kindergarten girls after their program. It was so sweet! We can't wait to start back up in January.

halloween festivities

We have had a fun October full of costume wearing and fall festivals! And of course the usual trick-or-treating last night. bless all of the wonderful teachers today!!

HALLOWEEN NIGHT

Neighborhood friends before we all went trick-or-treating! We met up at a friend's house and road around their neighborhood on their golf cart. Definitely the BEST way to trick or treat! Thanks for driving us around "Miss" Brandy! The Daddies stayed behind at the house, so we had fun with our girls!

Such a FUN night! Definitely tired this AM! Libby got in bed way past her bedtime, but that didn't seem to phase her this morning. Probably because she was still on a sugar high!

pumpkin patch

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday afternoon! We went back to Jack O Lantern Lane {same place we went last year} in Lafayette. We were wanting to try out a new {to us} pumpkin patch in Auburn, but realized it is closed on Sunday. Boo! Libby was SO excited, so the extra drive was worth it.

We didn't miss one thing! Train ride, hay ride, picked a pumpkin, pony ride, inflatables, etc. We were all tired and dirty at the end of the afternoon!

happy friday & a recipe

I made some really good chicken tacos last night {if I do say so myself.} :-) They were SO easy that I just had to share. AND they are healthy!

It takes 3 ingredients: chicken broth, 3-4 chicken breast {boneless/skinless} and zapata salsa {the very best out there... from Publix}.

What makes this even better is you can put this all in the crockpot! The crockpot is my kind of cooking these days. I put mine in late morning, and it was ready around 6:30. Once the chicken is done, shred with a fork {it should be so tender it just falls apart.} This is the second time I've cooked this, and I've always had tons of leftovers. Perfect for freezing or lunch for the next two weeks.

I was at Libby's school this morning taking pictures for yearbook {yes, I am in charge of yearbook.} I snuck into her P.E. class and watched her for a minute. Seriously, these kids are precious! I got to snap a few pictures of Lib and her classmates when they were leaving to go back to class. They all loved having their picture taken! I realize Libby's shorts are about 5 sizes too big!

It was also ALL BLUE day at AEEC to support the AHS Tigers who play tonight on ESPNU! We will for sure be watching!
