3 of 4 {Happy birthday, Libby!}

Yesterday my sweet Libby turned 4! She has been waiting for this day for a long time. Every birthday party we have been to this year she has asked, "Is it my birthday soon?" She is party loving girl! I never got around to posting about our day yesterday because we were just so busy to all things fun! Anything she wanted to do. We did!

We started of our morning at about 7:30. Libby came running out to the living room and saw this and starting squaling when she saw the "Happy birthday" sign.

We sang Happy birthday with a blueberry waffle and a candle. She quickly looked confused and said, "Uhh, this is not a cake." Love her!

Then it was off to preschool. Libby took the leftover crown cookies that Cousin Sandy made for all of her friends at snack time. She was so excited to go to school and tell everyone that she was finally FOUR!

After snack all the kids went to group time. They all sang to Libby. It was so sweet and she loved every minute of the singing! What a difference a year makes.

Then Mrs. Bellhorn gave Libby 4 hugs for 4 years.  So sweet! {Notice her Barbies are in there too!}

Then I read a book to Libby's class. She picked out "Fancy Nancy". I see a Fancy Nancy party in this girls future birthday parties.

We ate lunch at Libby's favorite place, Chick-fil-a and then played on the playground. Libby made fast friends with the girl behind her. Something about the Chick-fil-a playground just makes kids so happy.  Maybe it's the yummy chicken they all have eaten!

When we were leaving Chick-fil-a we walked out to something really random. A little pig named Max. Libby thought he was so funny!

When we got home the sun was finally pecking through the clouds. We went out side at played with bubbles. The best entertainment!

Then we ended the day with having some friends over for dinner. Nolen cooked some delicious burgers for all of us. I'm sad I didn't get many pictures. Only one's of us singing "Happy birthday" to Libby. We really have done a lot of singing this birthday.

We didn't realize it, but we accidentally got "trick" candles. It was pretty funny seeing there reaction after the light kept coming back.

Libby had a great day! We can't even imagine life without her. She is the biggest blessing to us, and we thank God for her everyday!

We love you, Libby!!!

2 of 4 {Frog Legs}

We had Libby's birthday party today at Frog Legs. She has been so excited about her birthday party! She has been telling everyone about her party. {Even random people at the grocery store.} She was so excited to have all her friends and family come and celebrate with her.

Everything was pink and green. 2 of her favorite colors!

Yummy cupcakes that Sasa made!

Pink and purple crown cookies that Cousin Sandy made. They were amazing!

When all her friends arrived all the jumping and sliding started. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

 Then everyone went to the party room for some pizza. Libby's favorite! Can you tell?

Then we sang "Happy birthday" to the birthday girl. Nolen was in charge of my camera, but I guess forgot he was supposed to be taking pictures. But he got in on video which is better. I'm sure Sasa or Bessie have some of the pictures. I was so proud of Libby. She is known for crying during the "Happy birthday" song, but this go around she did great and loved every bit of it! Yay!

Sweet friends... Avery, Libby and Drew

Best friend Tucker!

I was hoping to get a picture of the whole group, but it's almost impossible to get 14 4-year-olds to stay still and smile. Especially in Frog Legs.

Libby had such a great party. She is one blessed little girl with so many sweet friends to share her birthday with. I can't believe tomorrow is her 4th birthday! 4 years sure has flown by!

1 of 4 {Birthday Kick-off}

Birthday celebrations that is. Lib's birthday is coming up. In TWO days! This past weekend we had our first celebration with the grandparents at Sasa and Who's house.  Libby was SO excited about getting more presents. {She had already opened these cute princess slippers from Aunt Kasi, Uncle Hank and Cousin Henry and a barbie from Aunt Jana the day before.}She had a lot to open between the 2 sets of grandparents too.

She got Tiara the barbie and the dress up outfit from Princess and the Frog, a Leap Frog, candy, a lot of clothes {her summer wardrobe is finished!}, Uno game and some books. Grandparents are the best!

We even sang "happy birthday"to her. And she blew all FOUR candles out all by herself!

Libby had a great kick-off to her birthday week at the lake with her sweet grandparents. She's one lucky girl! :)

A lot more birthday post to come. We've got 3 more celebrations!

3 things.

It's been a busy one over here in our house this week. Here are a few "favorites" in our house this week.

  • On my much needed grocery trip this week I picked up these "cuties". They are so yummy! And I think everyone should go get a bag.

  • I planted some zinnias. I can't wait till they grow into big beautiful flowers!

  • Sitting outside before dinner... me with a glass of wine, Nolen with a beer. Libby playing. So relaxing. Most of the time.

  • One more thing, I think it's safe to say that Libby has "Beiber fever". Watch here. I might have a little "Beiber fever" too.  :-)

Hello Blogosphere!

We've been spring breaking it all week. Nothing too exciting going on here, but I'd say a week free of school is pretty exciting. We played at home the first few days, then went to the lake for a few days. It's so nice to have a vacation place 45 minutes away! We ate at the Grille, played on the beach, Libby swam in the water {which was freezing!}, Nolen played some golf, hung out with family. It was fun and relaxing. Some pictures of our fun...

I went to the pool {by myself} where I caught up on my magazine reads and tried to work on my racoon eyes. Nolen was so nice to stay at home with Libby while she napped. That girl was needing a nap and I was needing some alone time.

And today we ended spring break with a girl trip to the pool. The water was FREEZING, but Libby didn't mind one bit. She is amazing at the pool. She'll sit and play on the steps and in the 3 ft area forever! We've just got to get better at walking around the pool rather than running!

It was a good spring break. I just wish spring break was 2 weeks. I'm so glad spring is officially here! And the countdown is ON... 10 days till my "baby" is 4!!
