Libby's Special Day!

Libby had a great birthday yesterday! She definitely felt that it was her "special" day. She started off her birthday with some doughnut holes, apple juice and a kiss from Daddy!

She took cupcakes to school with her, ate lunch at the park with her Daddy, and then we went to pick out her gift at Target. No surprise here... She picked out a Strawberry Shortcake scooter for her S.S. doll. She is OBSESSED with it! She woke up real early this morning, went and got the scooter and brought it in our bed to play with it. She LOVES it! She also got a T-ball set from her Daddy! She is practicing as I type this. Nolen is so excited about teaching her how to play. He gets a little worried that all of her toys are "girly" so now he feels confident that he can get some "sporty" in her system. :-)

We also sang Happy Birthday to her and she blew out all of her candles! You can see her reaction here. And here are some pictures.

**I just notice Nolen in the background-Looks like he's striking a pose! :-)
Playing with her Strawberry Shortcake scooter...

Then we went to Nolen's softball game. She was on a serious sugar high when we got there. She had so much fun though. She ran and ran and ran... Whew! I was worn out running after her. After all the running she finally settled down a little bit and sat in my lap. She kept saying, "Ah, I tired!" In this very dramatic tone. Needless to say she went right to bed when we got home.

And Happy Birthday to Anderson today!!! Love you!

Here are some pictures of Libby from the past 3 years. I can't believe my baby girl isn't a "baby" anymore! She's so excited about her birthday tomorrow! She's been talking about it all night, and has pitched a few fits because she can't eat her cupcake right NOW! I tried to explain they are for she and her friends at school tomorrow, but that's hard for a 3 year old to grasp! Especially one that loves sugar!!

Birthday at the Park!

Today we had Libby's 3rd birthday party at Hickory Dickory Park! She had so much fun with all of her sweet friends and family. I couldn't have asked for a better day to have the party. The weather was perfect!

And we got to play with one of these:

While all the kids were eating lunch people were setting up this blow-up jumping house. We thought it was for the other birthday party, but it turned out that a local church puts it up every Saturday for anyone to play in! How nice is that? Those things are cheap either. So, we hit the jackpot! The kids had so much fun jumping and playing with all the toys!

                                          Who, Papa T and Daddy
                                           Daddy, Libby and Tucker
All of Libby's friends eating cupcakes

                                             Sasa, Libby and Emily
                                         Libby and sweet Avery jumping!

                                    Libby, Emily and Tucker

                                              Cute Tucker!!

This picture makes my heart melt in a million pieces!

And if you were wondering.... We did not sing Happy Birthday. I just didn't want to risk it. She was in such a good mood, and I didn't want to upset her! We'll start practicing for next years party, so we can sing to her! :-)

When we got home Libby opened all of her presents. She loved all of them. Her friends did a great job! She got a Sleeping Beauty dress that she has worn all afternoon and she still has it on! I hope she doesn't ask to wear it to church tomorrow! :-)

I still can't believe it's been almost 3 years since this precious little girl has been in our lives! Words can't express how much Nolen and I love her!

Wagon Ride...

I just came across these pictures from when we were at the lake last week. Libby loves to ride in her wagon that Katie, Anderson and Allene gave her!

Can you tell that she was prepared for the blizzard coming through Alabama? She brought 3 blankets with her. Wait, scratch that she brought 2 blankets and my Mom's bathrobe. AKA "Vibby's banket".
And I'm totally joking about the blizzard... it was like 60 + degrees outside, and she was real tired. She can't go to sleep with out her blanket and paci.
                                     Having so much fun!
                                                               And.... She's out!

Spring Break Adventures

Well... Our Spring Break has come and gone! It went by too fast, and I just can't seem to get back in the swing of things. School wise at least. It's amazing how much a week off will do to your mind. Or maybe it's just my mind that gets off track. It doesn't seem to bother Nolen too much! :)

Anywho.... We had a great and relaxing spring break! Nolen went to Nashville with his Dad for the SEC Basketball Tournament, Libby and I went to the lake, I had a spa day, Libby had a playdate, Nolen had a couple of interviews, we went to Birmingham, and I learned how to sew!

We stayed busy and loved sleeping late and not having an exact plan! I went to the spa on Tuesday and it was A-mazing! I got there at 10 and didn't leave until almost 3 o'clock! It was so nice to spend a day getting pampered by myself.

On Thursday Gran and Pop came to Auburn for the day. I had asked Gran if she would teach me how to sew on a sewing machine, so she came and I learned how to sew. We made an apron, and I thought it turned out pretty cute! I'm eager to start on some other projects I have in mind, but I just need a little bit more practice and time.

Here is the apron I made with Gran's help of course. This picture is horrible and I'm pretty sure I'm still in my pajamas here and I'm cooking lunch. Mondays are slow days for me. Especially after spring break. And don't you love my cute accesssory on my hip? And her feather boa around her neck!? :-)

Friday we went to see our Birmingham family. We took Libby to the Homewood Park that afternoon. It was a perfect day to be at the park. Everyone else had the same idea as us though. It was packed! Libby loved running around, swinging, and going down the slide. Friday night Ann had us all over to her house for dinner. It was great seeing all of our Birmingham family, we don't get to see them as often as we would like! We missed Katie though! She moved to NashVegas almost 2 month ago. We'll just have to drive a little further next time so we can see her!

When ya gotta go, ya gotta go. What can I say? She's mighty comfortable using the potty wherever she pleases.
And please ignore the girl stuffing her face! Thanks.
