Valentine's Party

Yesterday Libby had her Valentine's Day party at school. I couldn't go because I have a class from 11-12:15, and the party was at 10:45. (Very strict teacher so there was no way out of it) So, Nolen went with her! He was very happy to go. He loves this little girl to pieces, so he didn't mind being the only Daddy there! :-) He said she was so sweet. No crying!! Yay!

She also came home with a big bag of Valentine's from her friends. She took cookies as her Valentine's for her friends. I didn't realize how much time it takes to make cookies. Like from scratch, not the pre-made ones. I don't cook sweets very often. I have a big reason why...I'll eat them all in one sitting. No lie! It's a problem.  Anyway, I was feeling all creative and decided to make X and O cookies. I got inspired by foodnetwork.com.

They didn't turn out totally like I thought, but I didn't think they were too bad. They tasted good, but I'm just not sure if you could totally tell that they were X and O shaped. Now that I think of it... I forgot to take a picture of them! Oh well.

Here are some pictures from the party. Nolen did good on his job of taking pictures. I thought they turned out so cute!

This was taken the night before when we were making cookies. She was a good little helper. Notice her apron! I found it in the dollar section at Target. I thought it was so cute!
