Monday

I just can't believe it's almost half way through August! It just doesn't seem possible. Libby and I are soaking up our last few days of summer. She doesn't start preschool until September 1st, but she'll go to Children's Day Out on the mornings I have class.

My schedule has worked out perfectly this semester. I have only morning classes from around 9:30- 11:00 every morning except Friday! I was looking at my schedule last night and realized that my MWF class doesn't meet on Friday. So excited I'll have long weekends!

It's just Libby and I this week. Nolen left for Birmingham late yesterday afternoon. He has a training thing  for work and it last all week.

But Libby and I are going up 280 sometime today. We already miss him so much around here. And I sure miss have good coffee to drink this morning. You see, Nolen always makes the coffee because he's the first one up. Well, I had to make it today and it takes like DIRT! Awful. I drink 2 cups in the morning, but I think this morning is going to be different. 0 cups for me.

What would I do without Nolen? I'm not sure, but I don't think I would be a coffee drinker!

*************************

Last night I thought I would treat Libby to some frozen yogurt at the new yogurt place downtown. Ya know, girls night out. So we get in the car, and drive towards downtown. Park the car and I look back at Libby and realize.... She doesn't have any pants on! What!!?? I'm thinking did I miss this great observation when I was putting her in her car seat? I've never in my life. The thought is what counts, right?

I mean I can't take her in because A.) It's pretty crowded and B.) I'm sure I would have gotten some looks and C.) That's just plan weird taking you 3-year-old girl somewhere with just a shirt on and panties. See what would I do without Nolen? He would have called this out on me. And he's the MAN who's so unobservant.

So, I tried to explain to Libby that we have to go somewhere else to get a treat. So we headed to Bruster's instead. Even better the kiddie cones are free! So I didn't pay anything. Score!

While were in the drive-thru (thank goodness for drive-thrus) I saw this no lie 6-7 year old boy in his Spongebob footie pajamas. Yes, the ones that babies where. I just didn't get it. Why would you drag your child to Bruster's in there pajamas and make them sweat to death. And I'm pretty sure it was that nasty polyester fabric. Poor little boy. Maybe they were treating to ice cream before his first day of school??

I don't know, but it was weird.

Libby wishes everyone a happy, happy Monday!

Pictures of the Office/Guest bedroom update coming soon!
