Toys for Tots 5k

I ran in my first 5k this past weekend! I was a little nervous, because I didn't feel totally prepared for the race. The Thanksgiving holiday, school, etc. were keeping me from being able to practice as much as I wanted in the last week of training. {our maybe I was just too lazy to fit it in.} I made record time {for me}-- which is probably not that great to most people, but I plan on doing more 5k races in my future, so hopefully my time will get better!

Libby and Nolen came to watch me finish! I was sad I didn't hear them cheering me on- I was focused on crossing the finish line with out stopping! I ran out of the house early, which meant Nolen had to dress Libby. Christmas shirt + hot pink pants. I thought it was so cute and such a Daddy thing. :-) I wouldn't have it any other way!

After the race Nolen took us out to breakfast at my favorite place, Big Blue Bagel. I had the War Eagle omelet, and it was delish!

Now I've just got to start training for a 10k that I'm doing in January!
