time is flying

Time is just flying by these days! {faster than normal I feel like}. Want to know why??

I registered Libby for Kindergarten yesterday. Yep, it's official she's going to big kid school this August.

I can't believe it.

AND she will be FIVE YEARS OLD in 3 weeks. I can't believe that either.

Where has the time gone!?!

Libby fell on the playground and hit a pole...
reason why her eye is swolen, scratched up and red.
poor girl can't catch a break. busted chin and swolen eye.
All of her other birthdays I have looked forward to {growing, learning more, doing more "big kid" things, etc.} All of that was so exciting to me. NOW I wish I could go back in time and cherish those sweet "baby" moments again. I can't believe she's not my "baby" anymore. {although she will always be my "baby"}.

BUT on the other hand I am SO excited about her starting a new adventure come August. I know she will LOVE it. I have never heard anything but GREAT things about kindergarten here. We are so blessed with a wonderful school system, and it makes things a little easier knowing that she has been there this year. {that has also been a huge blessing!} I know she will be in good hands! :-) and she already knows the ropes.  It will still be an adjustment for both of us. Our "chill" mornings won't be so "chill" anymore.

For now though, I'm not going to think about what will happen in August.

I'm just going to cherish EVERY moment with the Libster.

 The outfit Lib is wearing was made by my mama {sasa} in the 80s. My sister and I wore it. I unpacked a bag of pretty dresses that were ours growing up this past weekend. I can't wait for her to wear them soon! That's one thing she isn't getting too big for... the pretty lace/smocked dresses!! Thank goodness!

Here is the verse from todays Jesus Calling devo.

"because you are my help,
i sing in the shadow of your wings;
i cling to you, your right hand upholds me."
psalm 63: 7-8

  1. I love seeing Libby in Sasa's dress you and Katie wore. I think I have a pick of Katie in that dress I'll try to scan and send to you to show Libs. Lots of happy memories of all my girls in that dress! All looking so cute!
