Easter Weekend {Part 2}

We had a big weekend at the lake! Lots of food, family and Easter egg hunts. Libby spent the night with Bessie on Thursday night, so Nolen and I came late Friday afternoon. She and Bessie had a little photo shoot on her bed...

If you can believe it, she got sick right after taking these pictures. Thank goodness it was just a 24-hour bug! And.. Have I mentioned home much Libby loves Strawberry Shortcake? Well this is proof that she REALLY loves SS! Bessie got her a life size SS sticker that sticks on windows!

On Saturday Bessie and I took Libby to see the little chicks and rabbits at the Russell Crossroads.

They were so cute! The little chicks were 3 days old, and they died them different colors. Libby's favorite (and the only one she would pet) was the green one. She loved it so much she didn't want to leave!

And we also took some pictures outside and Bessie's house.

After that we went to the Willow Point Easter egg hunt. Libby was so excited! I don't even know if excited is the right word. Ecstatic I think is more appropriate. They lined all the 3-year-olds up and made them wait until it was 2 o'clock. That was quite the challenge for Libby. The funny thing is that she was just jumping up and down with such excitement, that when the actual hunt started she didn't get any eggs. She got one, then it fell out of her basket since she was running everywhere. So, we made it home with no eggs! She didn't care one bit though. :-)

                                        Can you see the excitement?
                              Daddy came to see her during golf. She was so excited to see him!

                                             Taking a rest in the tree...

Sunday morning she was so excited to see what the Easter bunny had left her. She got a lot of fun goodies! She didn't know what to think because she had just opened some more birthday presents the day before. She's becoming a pro at receiving presents! :-)

    Checking out what the Easter bunny brought with some good bed hair.

We went to church with my parents, then came back and had a wonderful Easter lunch at my parents house. Everyone was there and it was so much fun being together! I'm so sad I didn't get a better picture of Libby in her Easter dress. I'm hoping my Mom got a good one. My grandmother made the dress about 26 years ago for my sister and I wore it too. I love that Libby can wear all of mine and my sisters dresses. It's so special!

                                       Greeting Gran and Pop....
                            Libby loved saying, "Happy Easter" to everyone!
                            Hunting Easter eggs at Sasa and Who's house

      Family picture... minus Libby. Anderson, Allene, Katie, Addie and Nolen

                             She feel asleep during lunch, she was so tired.
We went to the Lamberth's after lunch, and Libby got a lot of goodies from the Easter bunny there. She's been playing with her new Tink dolls all morning!

We had a great Easter weekend!! We feel so blessed to have such amazing families to spend holidays with, and I am so thankful that Jesus died on the cross for my sins!
