Tufted or Nailhead Trim?

OK- I have a question for all who read this blog. (All 10 of you) :-). I need some design advice... I made a headboard this summer and want to add something to it. My original plan was to outline it in nailhead trim, but looking at pictures of tufted headboards got me thinking... So tufted or nailhead trim??

Tufted....

Nailhead trim...

Such a hard and serious decision, I know. :-) Please tell me what you think! Thanks bunches!

  1. I think both are pretty--but if I had to choose one, I'd probably vote nailhead!

  2. We have the headboard in the first picture(tufted) and I love it! It is a little different as ours goes taller. (got it from target at a great price!) To me, tufted is a little more elegant and nailhead seems to be more masculine. If it is for you and Nolen, maybe nailhead...but a guestroom....tufted!

  3. I like both ...agree with other comment and that tufted is more feminine. Can't remember... what color is your headboard? Love you!!! Ann
